Welcome to Digital Fruit Network!

DigiFuruNet is, in case you couldn't tell, a little database for manga. This site was started waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back around 1998 and lived spread out across various geocities sites as Fruit Bowl until 2004 when I bothered to buy this domain. The manga portion of the site was still Fruit Bowl until 2006 I switched to a database driven site, which makes updating much mo' easy. Now the manga portion IS the main site, so it is now DigiFuruNet. =3

I was about 13 when I switched from anime to manga and it was difficult to find info on manga that hadn't been licensed in the US and there wasn't much that WAS licensed. When I was in 7th grade I subscribed to Mixxine in time for the second issue to arrive. Now Mixxine is Tokyopop and are one of the largest manga distributors in the US and there are websites that list more manga than I could ever hope to cover on my own.

To be clear I'm not competing with Manga Update or ANN or Wikipedia. I don't plan on trying to be a catalog of every manga imaginable. This is just a place for me to put up info on the series I own and to share pretty pictures. I DO have information that most other sites don't have since I try and look up releases outside of the US and Japan but of course that doesn't mean they COULDN'T list that info, too. ^_^; Just....I've kept this site for such a long time I can't bear to let it go. Even if I joined one of the big sites and contributed all my info to them I'd be sad without my own little corner of the web....

If you want to use any of the pretty pictures I've scanned then go for it. It would be awesome if you'd link me, of course, and even more awesome if you'd tell me so I could look (I'm kinda nosey) but of course you don't have to.
