Auge was a priestess of Athena and great-great-great granddaughter of Zeus and Callisto. She hid her child by Herakles, Telephus, but the land remained barren. When the oracles announced that it was Auge's fault she was delivered to her father for execution, but he gave her in marriage to King Teuthras of Mysia.
